As part of the migration, the default UNL for XRP Ledger servers is now served from a new URL and uses a new key pair. If you run a server on the XRP Ledger mainnet and uses the default UNL, you must migrate to the new UNL settings before the old UNL publisher shuts down on September 30 (2025-09-30), to maintain service continuity.

 This week, the faucets on both Testnet and Devnet faucets had their supply of test XRP depleted. Team RippleX, which operates the test networks, has been periodically moving funds back to the Testnet faucet to keep it running temporarily. Additionally, both faucets have had their default funding amount reduced to 100 XRP and the maximum amount from one request reduced. Both networks will be completely reset on Saturday, 2024-04-20. Until then, you may encounter times when the faucets are empty and cannot provide test XRP.

This means that all accounts, balances, and settings in the Testnet have been deleted and all contents of the Testnet's decentralized exchange have been erased. However, in the process of resetting the XRP Testnet, a procedural issue caused amendments that were previously enabled to be disabled in the fresh ledger chain. Ripple plans to reset the XRP Testnet again today (2019-08-30) at 4 PM PDT. Starting at this time, the Testnet may be unavailable for a maintenance window lasting up to 4 hours.

 The Data API, an open API that provides data to XRP Charts and third-party tools, suffered gaps in data ingestion on 2019-03-23. As a result, several metrics on XRP Charts, including the number of ledgers closed per day, were overcounted. During this time, the XRP Ledger did not experience any outages. However, the Data API's ingestion service was unable to process ledgers with transactions containing the tecKILLED transaction response code. tecKILLED is a new response code added to the XRP Ledger by amendment fix1578 on 2019-03-23. This necessitated changes to the ripple-binary-codec library used by the ingestion service, but those changes were only partially deployed to the ingestion service. We have since reprocessed and corrected the metrics that were affected by this problem.

 Last Friday we did a master release of ripple-rest version 1.3.0. We’ve done a few changes externally but the substantial additions in 1.3.0 have been stability and verbose error handling. If you’ve been following the commits on github , we’ve also vastly improved test coverage and introduced simplicity by removing the need for Postgres.

 C++ is a language under constant development, resulting in alternating minor and major releases. The last major release of C++ was C++11. A minor release has just been approved by all participating national bodies (zero negative votes). This will be C++14. C++17 is the next planned major release and is currently under development by the committee.
